Twig Books - Author Testimonials.
The following are just a small number of the testimonials we have received about Terry Gasking - the author of many of our publications.
Terry Gasking is an extremely effective financial practitioner who not only can educate corporations and divisions on the inter-relationship of finance (earnings/profit and loss statement, balance sheet and cash flow), but also can help managers to produce results. As an American who has headed multiple businesses in the US and Europe I have seen him do it throughout these areas of operations. This book is an important educational contribution to finance for all operators (entrepreneurs and corporate executives)

I have had the pleasure of being professionally associated with Terry Gasking through his work in the USA since 1992. During the time since, I have come to know Terry as a trusted consultant with the highest integrity. While displaying a broad knowledge of finance and related business disciplines, one of his most outstanding characteristics is his great insight into these disciplines and how they relate to real business situations.
He has an uncanny way of effectively teaching complex concepts in a simplified, very understandable fashion. Terry was not only responsible for saving a former employer of mine millions of dollars in cash flow and related profit enhancements, but he also helped hundreds of our non-financial employees gain a strong comprehension of basic finance concepts thereby making them better employees and developing them personally.

I have had the pleasure of benefiting from Terry’s services in two organizations. In the first I was one of the lucky executives to be trained, in Terry's unique way, in the art of financial and cash management. Throughout the $3.5bn organization Terry put in place a highly focused plan to train a large proportion of the staff. The impact of his work was as planned – a significant improvement in cash.
I have also used Terry Gasking to bring further and improved focus on cash and financial management in a business with over 140 branch locations across the UK and Europe. We trained over 430 staff, over 6 months, at all levels, in all functions, bringing them together to understand and learn as one team how to manage our cash.
The benefits of bringing these mixed groups together taught in a practical and down to earth way, learning and using common language and tools cannot be underestimated.
Not only has there been the desired impact on cash management, but a significant improvement in moral and team working across the business.
The European operations are now best for cash management.

Not long ago, media comment about my company frequently started with the phrase "debt laden." Barely twelve months and almost $l Billion of debt reduction later that prefix will need to be changed to "debt free".
This dramatic transformation included techniques such as disposals and a rights issue, but by far the largest and most satisfying component of the debt reduction was the millions of pounds of cashflow generated by all levels in our operating companies throughout the Group.
A massive program of workshops spearheaded by the author resulted in the "education", and then enabling, of over a thousand of our operatives in several hundred locations throughout the USA, the UK, and Europe.
It was by explaining WHY cash was an important and expensive management resource that the workshop participants were helped to develop imaginative ideas that they could share with their colleagues and then implement upon their return to their operations. The success of these ideas is a matter of record, but the ability to determine the comparative success of ideas has spawned refinements and will ensure that continual improvements are sought & introduced.
Corporate Management believed that sustained cash flow generation could only be achieved by the thousands of our employees that had daily interface with our customers, but it was the understanding and the use of techniques explained in this book that enabled each one of them to perform and prove the management approach to be correct.
